I am just about to start work on a Tombraider style map, but instead of having to work your way to the exit, i want the player to find an ancient artifact. I have chosen one from gamebanana, here it is,
http://gamebanana.com/models/3236. It is a blender model, does anyone with a bit of model experience be able to change this to a .smd. I have tried following tutorials in the past but it just goes right over my head.

Done  I took the liberty to make the .QC file, adding collisions and also the physics so that you can use it as a prop_physics, and compiled it.

I also prepared its textures for you.

But I prefer to send it to you via Steam than posting it here

Darn, you just beat me to it Jose

But that model looks rad. I can't wait to see what the finished map will look like!

You can also use crowbar (Software) IF decompiles .MDL And Compiles .SMD. YOu will also need the blender SMD Plugin!
