If you want an accurate one, do the test going to Atlanta, GA in the US.

I think the real question would be more "how much does it cost you".
I get around 900 Ko/s in download (7200 kbps) and 110 Ko/s in upload (880 kbps) for 30? (approximately 130830 dollars according to change rates)

It's the fastest home connection available in Los Angeles aside from Verizon FiOS which is only available in Malibu. "Barbie, that bitch has everything!" is true.

Waw, that's not much for a city this big.
In Paris you can get around 100 Mbps + 220 TV channels + free illimited phone (to 45 countries) for 50? ($70).
I'm rather surprised to hear that.

I'm on Comcast in Tennessee, US.
I pay almost $27/month (1/3 of the monthly bill which is around $80 total for internet, phone, and bullshit fees, but I never use the comcast phone line.)

well i earned my "broadband" when i got online. the average modem was 9600 baud, and when 14.4k came out it was like wo! and then 28.8k! ZOMG!!!!! and when 53.3k (aka 56k) came out... the damn phone lines wouldn't even get close to that... averaged 24.4k... and was like that for eons.. about 11 years later (no joke) i finally got cable internet.... well we recently moved back to the country so my only "broadband" options are a data card (Sprint FTW) or satellite (laughs-out-loud@satellite internet)

I remember trying to play Quake on a 28.8k modem.
It's funny, now that I'm stealing my internet, I get a worse ping now than I did then.

Also
I get this at my dads. :3

I'm actually subscribed to the 8Mb/s speed, but Comcast has a "speed boost" feature that I don't completely understand, but it will give a downstream boost whenever I start a large download. I think it only lasts for the first few minutes of the download though. Apparently it kicks in on speed tests also. So I'm not really getting a constant 25Mb/s connection.
