Hello,

It's only my second map, but I've done it after a huge pause. I decided to master Hammer first

So here it is, an intermediate to hard custom built Portal 2 puzzle featuring cube, aerial faith plate, laser, tractor beam and gel thinking. 4 chambers in total. Custom models are also present in my map.

I'll be glad to hear some opinions, so go ahead and test it!

Greetings,
A.

Hi,

This is my 4th map which I made using the peti editor. It is a laser redirection puzzle that requires some slightly advanced techniques to solve. I've tried to make it a bit challenging so I hope you have fun figuring it out.

Hey everyone!
Despite being active in the Portal 2 community for quite some time, I lost my window of opportunity to join TWP before it went down (I tried registering right before it went down, in fact).
So I guess I'd be better off introducing myself with what's probably my best map to date: "Devious":

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... =911335932

It's a hard puzzle with laser redirection and a pulling funnel, inspired partly by Mevious's "Remorse" map and by RectorRocks's "Can't Let Go". It also contains an Optional Companion Cube (for those of you who know what it is).

Here's my 2017 maps collection if any of you might be interested: 2017 Maps
And my collection of monoportal maps (which I'm quite well-known for): Primary Fire

Seeya guys around!

Hey, I'm new to the TWP community, so I thought I'd show off some of my skills.
Here's my newest map: Echo, a monoportal map that involves advanced cube recall mechanics and using time to your advantage, good luck.

Hope you enjoy!

Hi everyone! My name is Demon Arisen - you may know me from my Portal 2 Workshop or my YouTube channel. I was a lurker on TWP before I went down, and now it's back up I thought I'd create an account so I can participate a bit more.

If you enjoy well made logical tests, I'm sure my puzzles will be right up your alley. I make maps in the puzzlemaker and release them quite frequently. They're all fun and logical, with no ninja skills required, just thought. They're mostly about medium difficulty, with some being easier and some being harder.

Here's my workshop: http://steamcommunity.com/id/demonarisen/myworkshopfiles/

Here's a collection of my best puzzles: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=839996444

Enjoy!

Is it just me or do people not care about how much of TWP they're taking up?

What does that even mean? This is a forum for discussion. If you want to post uselessly, there is a discord server.

I was just messing around, sorry...

Here's a much more challenging one a friend and I worked on together a while ago. It's a destroyed Wheatley-themed puzzle called "Fast-Minded". It took a few months to finish because of huge optimization issues, but with some help it managed to be presentable. Go check it out and see if you can solve it!

Hello!

I absolutely signed up for this forum expressly to share the workshop map I made:

There's Plenty More Where That Came From

First off, I totally just installed Portal 2 for the first time since (checks Steam... wow really?) 2011 so my son could play through... since it was already installed I figured I'd try out some community maps... which inspired me to crack open the map editor for the first time... and this is my third published map this week... but... I guess there's been a map in my brain waiting to come out because I built this thing in two evenings and am super happy with how it came out and really want people to check it out and tell me what they think.

I know... total newb-arrogance right?... but I figured you gotta start somewhere.

Anyways. About the map/chamber/test, thing.
(hidden in case you want to go in unsullied)
||I came up with the last room and decided that A) one tiny nothing puzzle wasn't worth publishing and B) if people came into a seemingly impossible room right off the bat they would just give up and call me a troll.

So, I thought about how puzzle elements are introduced in the core games and then worked backwards building puzzles that I hoped would be independently challenging while also shifting the player's paradigm to the point where the original (now final) room would make sense... while building the player's trust so they wouldn't think I was trolling them.

There are 5 sub-chambers in this map/chamber/test thing and each one is a variation on a general theme, "There's Plenty More Where That Came From", with liberal use of Emancipation Grills.||

I've run the test through a number of times myself and everything seems to hook together properly and my son couldn't see any obvious problems with it so, please, try it out and let me know what you think.

I guess I'm not allowed to post images yet so here's an album of screenshots.... which, again, you might not want to look at if you want to go in fresh.

Hello to the TWP community, I've got a challenge for you. My most devious laser bootstrapping puzzle, Laced Up: Advanced. Any experienced puzzle solvers out there, feel free to give it a try. Be warned, though, it may take plenty of time and careful planning to make your way through this one.

No Obscure Angles.

No Tight Timing.

No execution.

Pure Logic.

Enjoy!

A couple of my most recent puzzles:

The GLaDOS Principle: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... =964993874
A medium-difficulty (or easy-medium if you're more experienced) puzzle themed like The Talos Principle, so using lasers and barriers (a.k.a light bridges) to work your way around.

Slippery Slope: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... =973130908
Another medium-difficulty map (maybe medium-hard, I suck at telling a puzzle's difficulty). This time, focused entirely around propulsion gel, and a bit around portal management/fizzlers.

I hope you guys like it!

Here are some more of my recent maps:

Pull the Leg: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... 1086889009
An easy-medium monoportal puzzle around a funnel, though a few people seemed to have a bit of a hard time with it, so maybe it could be considered medium?

Passenger: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... 1161746542
A medium difficulty monoportal puzzle, this time with two distinct funnels. Not as easy as it might seem at first glance, though I'm quite proud of how clever it turned out to be.

Silk Touch: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... 1163306896
A very easy proof-of-concept type of puzzle that shows that the scrapped futbol test element can be used in a clever manner.

One-Off: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... 1167133914
An easy puzzle revolving around the Portal Gun On/Off concept by Tuleby and FLooper, with a focus on light bridge.

Have fun!

How to pass portal_test_01.bsp? (Took it from a 377 maps pack.) The first part drives me crazy. Can't find the solution anywhere. Do I need to throw the box on the button between those bridges?

Upd. Got it finally. The secret is to shoot the portal as close to the cage as possible and slip under the bridge (with a certain luck it's possible with a three portals jump). How is that portal_test_01.bsp even called originally?
