Truth about the Weighted Companion Cube

It was never euthanized.

As GLaDOS said:

Quote:
All Aperture Technologies remain safely operational up to 4000 degrees Kelvin.

So the Companion Cube couldn't be euthanized because it remains safely operational up to 4000 degrees Kelvin.
It was a joke from GLaDOS. The Cube lives on.

Only if the Aperture Science Emergency Incinerator brings the tempature higher than 4000 degrees Kelvin, it could be euthanized. But they can't take the risk of you jumping in the Incinerator with the Portal Gun, where the Portal Gun would melt, thus the temperature isn't higher than 4000 degrees Kelvin.

This allows for a cool map idea. Finish your unfinished job, destroy the Cube. An easy way to do so are the Fizzlers.

It had finished its work for the day so it went for a cup of coffee, then went home to see Mrs Cube and the twins Ice and Hyper.

And when he was done there he checked hes e-mails and he got a new one with subject: "GLaDOS: You are invited to Chell's Completed Testchamber 19 Party". so it took there and waited for Chell to kill GLaDOS.

There really was a cake indeed

I don't know why the cube dissapears when is thrown down the fire pit.
Maybe the heat triggers a cloaking device.

The Cube is thrown down, technically you could think that in the game it is meant that when you put the cube down it, that isnt an incinerator but actually a SHOOT that drops it next to the end cake, DO NOT MENTION THE SECURITY CAMERA IDEA SINCE THAT ISNT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN IN PORTAL.

GLaDOS just did anything to make you believe the cube was actually incinerated.

But why waste a cube when you can use it for the next test subject?

Your specimen, where else do you expect it to go? There aren't any pipes connecting the toilet to the outside!

The weighted storage cubes are there to make the weighted companion cube look better by comparison.
