Maybe the name doesn't represent their use, but the way they're used. They're probably stored most of the time, untill GLaDOS needs them for a test.

This thread turned pointless.

You. Can't. Eat. A. Lie.

Trolls. Can. Fend. For. Themselves.

Like I said, pointless...

That's. Because. I've. Read. Max Havelaar. And. There. Was. This. Guy. That. Did. It. All. The. Time. Not. Max. Havelaar. Himself. Though.

It's. A. Dutch. Novel. By. Multatuli. I. Had. To. Read. For. My. Next. Book. Report.

Max Havelaar is not the greatest novel to read as 21st-century-dude. But I liked a few parts, most notably about Batavus Droogstoppel, even though he's just an arrogant bastard...

The Companion Cube is far more loveable than Droogstoppel. Even though it cannot speak. I wished Droogstoppel couldn't speak.

I know what the Weighted Storage Cubes are there for. They're really Weighted Companion Cubes with an Aperture Logo on the sides instead of a heart. All of the cubes have weights in them.
