Ok so I'm replicating the begining recreational chamber and there is a countdown clock.

(the numbers are brushbased, it is only the shell of the clock that has a model)

anyone have any ideas on how to get it to count down?

Thanks,
Youme

I'm thinking:

logic_timer -> env_texturetoggle -> func_brush

You might need a few more logic entities to start and stop the clock, etc.

A func_rotating and some creative thinking. I have the source for Source Chariots where I made a "speedometer", that you could adapt to a timer's arm.

Nice! We need a props button on this forum. That's a pretty inventive solution.
