for some reason when I start a game in portal Glados does not speak. in some of the downloaded maps she speaks (im not sure if she speaks in all of them) but in the main game she does not. When I come out of the stasis pod she does not speak and when the countdown reaches zero nothing happens, leaving me stuck inside the room. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could fix this?

Edit: I reinstalled the game but it did not work. I also found out that the portals do open in the beginning, so the only problem is with Glados's voice as far as I know.

Some maps contain files that might interfere with the original files. If you have a "scenes" folder in "...\Steam\steamapps(your Steam account name)\portal\portal", delete it and try again.

or maybe it says "AI Disabled" ? cause then the AI is disabled and npcs or GLaDOS wont be able to speak

that can happen if you copy the map to your maps folder to decompile it

or if the mapper dont load ea map 1 at a time b4 releasing it
