For some strange reason....after downloading some New Maps....
All of the cubes stopped spawning in almost all of the maps I have...
Even the ones that were originally in the game..
Does any one know why this is or how to fix it?

Any errors in the console?

maybe try installing portal again?

Itried re-installing it and that didn't work.
And I don't see any errors in the console except for text outlinned in red talking about FVAR_CHEAT and no FVAR CHEAT so.....
I seriously have no idea whats wrong.

Did you download the extr cubes/buttons?

Because the old version of it caused the normal cubes to dissappear from the map but its fixed in the new version.

So if it is that all the cube and buttons parts you've downloaded and install a newer version

Yeah...That probably is it....
I just re-downloaded it and it still didn't work so...Where do I get the newer version?

It didn't work...
All of the cubes will appear on your map...
But no cubes will appear on any other map...
For Example, when in Chamber 17, it's supposed to drop a Companion Cube...It doesn't...
And when I input the code for creating a cube it won't create one...

When you reinstalled it, I guess you only did it via steam?
Try to delete it via steam, and also the "C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\USERNAME\portal" folder.
Note: This will also delete your screenshots, maps, savegames, etc.

try getting rid of the new cube skins and see if that works.
