^Note: Images were taking in DX8..^

Maps were made from crappy images and videos. We took a good look at these and we are trying to recreate everything as possible..

Things we brought back in the maps..
-Old Portal frames.
-Cement Pillers instead of metal.
-Portal stand
-Elevator shaft

And more that still has to be made.

I realized I need to redo the elevator texture a bit. This mod really seems to be getting somewhere.

I think you guys only made the game look worse, except for the new portal effects.

But I think it's a great idea which can be achieved. The results at the moment aren't good but I'm sure you can get the quality you guys strife for.

Yeah Im very sorry, I was working on DX8 at the time and I wanted to get the screenshots done.

DX8 IS SHIT, but thats how people with shit PCs have to see it.

Im working on DX9 stuff now. I think I might post some screens soon.

It will not look like crap in the release.

But yeah, The images look like crap due to DX8 images.. I'm mapping in DX9. What I see is what you will see. clear?

Sigh, is it really that hard to wait a couple minutes and switch to DX9 and take good screenshots? Also, you should really find a modeler to help you. That portal gun stand made with hammer brushes looks pretty bad. And personally I don't really see the point in making the game look worse just to match a beta feel. I can understand changing some slight things like portal style, cursor and portal gun but some of those things were changed for a reason (they look terrible).

I'll give you the ones I made.. They are pretty old. (i.e Before right lighting and all..)

As for the gun stand. I wanted it as a model. But the other modeler was really busy at the time and I did not want to be a bother. Since we got a new modeler.I ask him to do it for me..

I also thought it would be neat to have the hexigon orb catcher from the Black Box trailer. I gave it a good thought and I really don't think I'm doing that any more...

Also, I'm not going to make the metal really really shiny as it was in the beta. That hurts my eyes.. Also the crossarrow we got pretty close into it. But not 100%. So that may not change...

2 I was busy working my ass off for DX8 users, and now am busy with DX9 shit. The modeler is doing all he can right now...

Maybe it's just me, but the "beta" flame Portals look nothing like the ones in the original trailers. Those are super ugly, it looks like the edge of the portal is this bushy whirlwind of shit.

Once again, Ive been working on it for DX8 users, I still have to work on DX9 users portal.

I like CabooseJr's particles better, anyways. It is not as appealing as those.

Yeah I think people should keep in mind that we started working on this a week or so ago. I only got 2 playable maps ready. and I'm working on the third.

As for the crosshair, I manage to get the crosshair from the consoles. (ie: red on left, blue on right.) All you have to do is type this in the console or the config file..

..I did tell Portalfan that we should share the project when it was around 3/4 done.

Also my Pc went to another powerpack!

To me 1 download is good enough, just as long as someone appreciates the work put into it.
