StoryLines for Portal
Posted Sep 26, 2008
I think there's been a thread like this before but I did a reaal quick search and couldn't find anything.
Most Portal maps use the standard GlaDOS background story.
Why not place npc figures in the observation rooms and make them talk? Pre-GlaDOS, where people run the tests, not the computer.
Or perhaps a very far away section of the Aperture labs, where they attempted to make 2 or more super-AI-Computers work together.
Ah crap
gtg to the lesson.
L8r's xD

I had the Gman following the player through my map so he doesn't feel alone
in the original game I always looked at the observation rooms looking for someone but never saw anyone so why would the observation rooms be there if noone used them

I guess they were installed before GlaDOS. So people could also take a look inside the test chamber without camera's.
Besides, with mapping, the observation windows appear to be excellent light sources.
A wake up with a real person in the observation saying 'Goood morning...' would be interresting.
