Compileing Problems (Vrad.exe)

Hi

I've got a litle problem when i compile VRAD.exe crashes why?

Here Is The Compile Prosses Window:

Try deleting the vrad.exe and any files associated with it, and run the SDK again.

Do not use spaces in the filename of the map.

After a closer look, I can see that the problem is not in vrad, it's in vbsp. It's not writing the bsp. I don't know why because I can't see any serious error messages. Have you checked for errors in the map? (Alt + P)

And yes, I'm a Swede.

I am thinking that this may be the problem. Make sure SDK has full permissions before trying again. If you are running Vista, run it in Administrator mode.

Guys can it be that i copied Source SDK From Phymon To The Splitx acc?

And i did Alt + P And no Errors

You may have to check the permissions as ultradude25 said. It's possible the permissions on Phymon's computer also were copied. Do you know how to change the permissions for the sourcesdk_content folder and copy them to every subfolder? I don't know if I can explain properly since I'm using the Swedish version of Windows. But in English, it should be something like this in Vista:

1 ) Right-click the "sourcesdk_content" folder.
2 ) Select "Properties".
3 ) Go to the "Security" tab.
4 ) Click "Edit" and select your Windows account.
5 ) Check the "Full permission" checkbox and click "OK".
6 ) Click the "Advanced" button.
7 ) Click the "Edit" button (under the "Permissions" tab).
8 ) Check the "Replace all permissions..." checkbox.

I think i fixed it! i changed ALL the Destinations for vrad and all others vbsp and that now it worked

Your directory path is too long. Try using like C:/maps or something.

This (and the spaces in the name, which also would have caused this) is a VERY old bug and I am very surprised Valve hasn't fixed it.

1. Don't try and use textures you don't have.

2. Don't have the setting "Run Game after compiled" turned on when you compile the map. Thats why it's stuffing up your map.
