Submersible Hamster is back and now it's a weekly podcast!

Sub Ham is about great music, that you can download legally and for free. Full tracks, no advertisements and no RIAA.

The first show is available right now. You can play it on the page, stream it in Winamp, download the mp3 or subscribe to the podcast in iTunes.

I already have 2 other shows ready to go and I'll be making more to put up every Sunday.

Subscribe to Submersible Hamster with iTunes:

When I record the podcast, I'm caressing my nipples the entire time.

Hamster, I love your music and I love your podcasts. There's really some great music in Subham.

Such a shame I have found use for only 1 of your songs in 1 of my maps so far... but it matches the feel exactly.
You'll hear which song once I release my map.

Also, I've been wondering, is it ok if I use other of your music than only your portal-specific in portal maps? I've already got a few great ideas with certain tracks...

Sure - just email me with a little bit of info about what you're doing so I have a better record of it. And hopefully it goes without saying: freely distributable projects only - no commercial stuff.

Currently I listen many tracks that were part of the GH3 sound track, including the guitar battles against Tom Morello and Slash. Though there's a bit of Rammstein and some Azoora in my playlist as well. Oh, and of course Estopa with Pastillo de Freno.

In general? Alternative, Classic Rock, Soundtrack, and Classical.
In specific? The Beatles, Gorillaz, Blur, Oasis, Coldplay, CCR, ELO, the H2G2 and I, Robot soundtracks, and the Moon soundtrack (just came out today, and it would make great background music for Portal!).

My playlist is dynamic and changes a lot over time. Currently, almost half of it is Tool.

My picks would be Pink Floyd (to a certain extent) and most things related to Trent Reznor. I will add Linkin Park in there, but more so from their more recent music than earlier stuff.

I suggest checking out any Nine Inch Nail remixes you can find. Many of them sport the ideal gaming feel you're looking for.

My favourite import would be a former techno band called Syntax. Those who've watched TV a lot should remember a tune or two from them.
Pride (I heard this on CSI just after a clean up guy says 'Bitch in a box')
Bliss (someone would've heard this one on Bones)

Minor picks:
Wolfmother
Death Cab for Cutie (CSI:NY, anyone?)
Green Day (American Idiot, especially)
Coldplay
Radiohead
Alanis Morisette
Presidents of the US of A
Godsmack
Beastie Boys (Sabotage on repeat)
