So i ree installed Windows XP on my Computer(Because i wars bored of Vista) but now my Soure sdk says if i want to start hammer:

"The configuration for the game youre trying to edit is invalid or missing"

and if i click on "Run anyway" it says
"gameinfo.txt dosent exist in[...]portal/portal

but i went there and the file exsit what i can do to get hammer to work?

You have to actually play the game first, so it makes a config file.

Ya. I had this too.

Play portal less then ten seconds and should work.

By the way, many problems of the Source SDK can be solved by clicking 'Refresh SDK Content' in the SDK menu. The current issue is one of the few that have another cause.
