I'm buying new TV on next Saturday, but there are so many good choises... My max. budget is 700 euros (about 904 U.S. Dollars) and the min. size of the screen is 32" and max. 42". I found two good models both are same priced:

LG 32LG7000 [32" Full HD lcd]
Panasonic 42PX8E(A) [42" HD Ready plasma]

Witch one is better or is there some even better with the same price?

And don't bother to answer if you don't know what you are talking about

Yeah I forgot, the TV is only for playing with PS3/XO

Hi, a friend of mine is a TV tech guy for Sears. He says to stay away from Phillips and RCA. Also its a good idea to avoid Plasmas. They have a tendency to burn images into the screen. Replaceing the screen is just as much as a new TV.

You're best bet is an LCD 1080p with a 50000 to 1 contrast ratio. That will give you a good picture.

Nice, thanks for helping. I have heard that plasma's image can burn into-, but I'm not sure is there that problem anymore in new models. You(r friend) know about the new plasma models?

Maybe then that LG... This is so hard when I can't see the HD-picture of those TV's, only the SD-sh*t . Damn those electronic shops

LG is better on the paper, but is it in real life?

But anyway thanks

From your avatar I thought you were msleeper, so when you started babbling about Euros I started to wonder if hadn't gotten too friendly with a bottle Senor Cuervo and decided to make the bizarrest drunk post in the world.

But no, you just grabbed his avatar. Well, shit.

-LCD
-1080p if you can afford
-Contrast ratio is arbitrary and more or less made up by the manufacturer not really useful
-Look for high viewing angles, 16:9 aspect ratio
-Plenty of HDMI/Component inputs (and VGA/DVI if you plan on streaming from your comp)

Nothing beats going to the store and looking at the TVs though.
