If you have trouble downloading rar files, try right-clicking this link and choose Save target as...

Welcome to TWP. 'Round these parts, people sometimes get sensitive if you put sort-of hidden stuff like that (or puzzle solutions) out in the open, so we have a spoiler tag for just such an occasion.

||G-man|| is a ||douche||

which comes out something like

G-man is a douche

(Mouseover to reveal.)

Thanks for the advise.

I liked your map. Except for the fact that the wall colors were sometimes wrong and that I believe it's possible to get a playthrough break with some of the cube puzzles, it was very entertaining.

I couldn't find the normal solution for the block trapped in the glass room at the beginning. But I found a alternate solution. I can't believe anybody has mentionned this before:

For the curious, there's nothing interesting to see on the floor level except for missing textures and being forced to start over.

yeah huge bump, but thanks for your feedback.
Great find. I didn't think that was possible. Anyway, I explained that missing texture some posts before. And some people discovered more ways how to get in this part of room
The solution is to catch the cube when it is delivered, and do it before it is disposed into the fizzler. Sometimes it is not possible since the cube falls too far away. Then carry the cube along the room through the gap in the glass.

Wow, a post-of-the-day award for my 1st post!

I recently completed all achivements in Portal and started looking at user-made maps. So expect a couple of weird bumps in this forum in the next weeks!

Huh, I'm pretty sure I would have eventually found the solution, but I would have never thought that the distance between me and the cube was close enough to be able to pick it up.

But bugs aside, nice map, great design and good fun. Overwall, I give it a 8 out of 10. Congratulations! And who knows, maybe I'll attempt the challenges on this map before 2010!

Just, try not to bump too much. It's a bit of a nuisance.

Oh, well, the challenge values were just guessed. It is possible that the gold award will be too easy, or, on the contrary, impossible to achieve

Good map, enjoyed this one, there were a few quirks with the angled surfaces, you could put a portal on them, but they wouldnt "portalise", so had to make the energy ball go down the passage as intended, maybe make those angled surfaces non portable. Completed the level in about 45 mins.
Thanks, good one.

Sup, figured I'd post since the topic got resurrected.

I managed to skip portions of the map without actually leaving it (oob), but none the less the best time I could come up with was 4:54, that's after 2 tries. I'll post back with demos or something, maybe after I get it down a bit. The ball launcher is the biggest annoyance as I can't seem to get it in one shot.

Sorry for the double, but here's a speed of 74 (hit a you tube up when its done encoding etc).

Demo file. It hits the gold record, but as Mek said they didn't mean anything, and I highly doubt he intended that to be the way through.

Warning: This demo uses glitches to skip almost every puzzle, not for the people who think it's cheating

Nice music you have with that speed run, I think I heard that on a sweetheart dedication on the radio one time.

I hate when people put music over videos, espcially shitty music like that. Just have the game sounds please, I don't want to listen to your terrible taste in music.

Aight smartass, it was my "shitty music" or nothing. This computer can't record game sound. I feel the same way about it, but can't do anything unless I have someone else FRAPS my demos. Ironically, it just shows you were to lazy to download the demo, instead of watching a you tube.

Thanks for the comment Mek =P, it's the same glitch to get the companion cube as when I forced myself through the door. I really don't know what happened with that door that I just kinda shot through, looks like it wasn't technically solid haha!

I had to turn the sound off, it was making my ears bleed.

Why would I watch a demo if you have a Youtube? That's not laziness, that's saving time for the same result. And honestly, I would have rather had no sound than that music. It was that bad.
