Sorry, not yet in the beta stage. The amount of suffering I had to endure to create usable custom textures was a bit much this week. You can probably tell by the bad lighting in the screenshots.

On the other hand, I should be able to submit a texture pack for you guys. And yes, the cubemap works very, very well.

So is that positive or negative?

I'd say positive for the overall looking, but I can't see any kind of Portal-like gameplay.

What about the ledges in the second screenshot? It seems like those could very easily be integrated into a level if they aren't already. And the box dropper and button in the third screenshot are a bit...well...Portal-like.

Your textures look very nice! They give an even stronger "sterile test lab" association that the original Portal ones.

One minor point: it's kind of hard to tell the difference between the concrete and metal walls, because they are the same colour. Perhaps it's a good idea to vary the colours some more. (Don't rely on just cube maps.)

They are some mighty fine looking textures. Nice work mate.

I do agree with HMW tho that the portalable walls should be a different colour. Maybe have the portalable walls lighter than the metal ones so that we won't have to readjust to the gameplay theme

I'd suggest to give the non-portable surfaces a more brownish colour, since the metallic surfaces being brown is what everyone is used to already.

Bad news.
Steam just crashed, I lost EVERYTHING!

Good thing the texture templates I used in Photoshop were saved in another folder. I won't have to redo them entirely from scratch, except for the glass textures and VMF's.

Sorry, guys.

You don't have to apologize to us...we're sorry it's been temporarily lost. What happened with Steam that made you lose all your stuff?
