Gel Help
Delving into my first bit of mapping ever really, going pretty smooth so far, save a few things.
Biggest issue that makes the map unsolvable...

The sprayer is shooting speed paint, when I attempt to get it to cover the ramped surface, it just covers the floor underneath it.
Another issue, the blobs come out as the small blobs but I want them to be big and joined, like the heavy flow you see in the first conversion gel test.
Also trying to get a reflecting cube, keeps showing up as a normal weighted cube in the game even after changing the properties to reflection cube.
to get it to show blobs instead of drips you have to change Blobs per second in the object properties to something more than 1, try like 80. also to get a thicker flow change the Blob spread radius to a higher number, the bigger the radius the thicker the "flow" will be.
to get a reflective cube in your map, you have to change Cube Type to Reflective, and also set Use New Skins to Yes
Anyway, another thing that could be it maybe, did you set your map to be paintable, you can do this by going to Map , at the top, and then Map properties, in the new window it should say Paint in map, set that dropdown to yes.
when it lands, it goes everywhere except the top of the ramp. It gets on the flat, up and down side of it, though. the side you can't see in the sceenshot
Do you have lighting in your map?
Okay, I feel stupid now. It worked. Don't know why it wouldn't work with that texture D:

You must have used vertex tool to cut the box into a ramp which results into an issue you're having. delete the ramp brush and create a new one with Clipping tool(Shift+x).
i think it's a known issue with hammer...

Except that's not the problem at all, he just said that when he changed the texture the problem was resolved.

it is an issue with vertex tool, and when you'll do something like that it will give you black texture which doesn't happen if you use clipping tool...so yeah..
