The Founder's Duck (Off-Topic Stupidity)
Just finished the season finale of the final season of Eureka. Gonna miss that show.
They wrapped it up excellently, too. Not very actioney, but I was fistpumping when they finally passed themselves on the road in reference to the very first episode of the show.
Also kinda made me wonder if there's gonna be a spinoff with Fargo and Holly, certainly seemed like they were setting it up.

DUMBLEDORE DIES!
Best. Video. Ever.
Sounds legit.
Why?
I'm tired of the forums being dead.

Give me like a week and the file database will be done and we can have a contest.
Edit: don't hold me to that, I just remembered I also promised someone else something in a week

I take full credit for killing the forum.
I stole all the members and dunped them on my Minecraft server.

Well, congratulations. Now fix it.

no way. I'm gonna break it further.
I found out how to get past the swear filter.
No one's been on the server for days (at least, not when I check)
I agree with Sven, CONTEST SOON PLZ; we could offer prizes like official mAI mapping resources (textures? sounds? musics? prefabs/instances?) that would later be released to everyone. Kind of a shitty prize, I guess, but it'd be 'free' to make and we could throw in an mAI elevator vidya and stuff.
...or, we could finish the TF2 contest

A contest spreads around, and it spreads around faster if the prize is good.
But I don't. So unless someone feels generous, I'll probably have the grand prize be either a piece of portal/portal 2 merchandise, or a steam game.

Something we need is a contest, but we do need a grand prize. I think that Atlas Portalgun would get some attention if we had that has the grand prize.A contest spreads around, and it spreads around faster if the prize is good.
TWP announced the second Summer Mapping Contest. Free-for all Portal mapping, sounds like fun and a boatload of prizes from the looks of it. If we're going to have a contest it needs to not coincide with another (especially the Valve-sponsored TWP) contest.
I'm thinking maybe a Portal 2 animation contest, to promote using portal 2 content in the SFM. Thoughts on that?

That's actually really neat. It would give people who can't use Hammer a chance to do something and it also helps promote using tools in different ways. I can't use SFM for the life of me, but I'm sure that there are others who would enjoy doing that.
Perhaps we could even get Valve to sponsor the competition like they did for the last TWP summer contest.

And this one. One of the main reason I'm pissed off.
By the way, I strongly encourage you to at least learn the basics of SFM. Even if you don't end up using it for complex animations, it has the potential to be really useful for short map showcases and whatnot (after it's updated to work with portal, of course).
