The pyro ARG is really stepping forward, first the new items, then secret messages in the items that makes a URL to something, then more ARG, and now Camera showed me this:

I expected a lot of things when I went to watch Meet the Pyro.

I did not expect what I got.

My card seems to not like EVE just at the moment. The silly thing is, I could understand it if it were playing up while I was in space, or walking around the station captains quarters. Nope, that's fine. It complains about a static image of my ship. HD 2400 Pro FTW, no?

Well then, get on and support it!

It does seem that the LEGO rep that commented on it it a Portal player too, whether that's a good thing or bad remains to be seen.

Just an FYI to everyone (we don't seem to have a departures section? Might have to fix that) I'm going to be gone from today till Saturday. Might see me on steam from time to time, depending on if my laptop will cooperate or not.
For your 'murican's, Happy Independence Day. See ya.

ditto. I haven't used legos in forever, but this set is twice as good as usual.

Firstly, it's Portal themed.

Secondly, it has Bionicle parts involved. I miss Bionicle so much

I miss Bionicle too, Lego came out with Hero Factory, to replace it, and it is a failure IMO.

And if you ever realized; my name comes from this matoran: [url:2cecy0yq]http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=8581-1[/url:2cecy0yq]

Damn, how did I not make that connection? I remember those matoran sets. I had 4 of the 6 turaga, all the toa and a few matoran from the first gen. I had a Makuta set (after he absorbed those two bounty hunters... Krekka and something I think?) that I kept adding too because at the time I thought Makuta was fucking awesome.

I've seen hero factory, and I am dissapoint.

Why did they kill Bionicle? (Apart from that the plot ended)

Bionicle began to lose quality after Voya Nui, I'd say. At that point and beyond all the sets stopped being creative. The original Rahi, Toa and enemies had actual gears and mechanics and inventive use of parts. As it went on, all the sets were just "Let's invent whole new pieces so this guy's torso can be a single piece instead of approaching it creatively. With the original Toa you could turn the gears and make their arms swing, the Bohrok could to that cool head snap attack and stuff. The later sets had none of this, just single-piece body parts and weapons.

The very sad trend in Lego in general. It makes me sad. I do still see awesome new sets, but they're way out there in the pricing spectruminator.

So I was bored and decided to go looking for some Portal-Bionicle crossovers. Turns out there aren't a whole lot, save GLaDOS.

^90% Bionicle version, best one I could find with the least amount of lego bits.

o.O

This last one doesn't relate to Bionicle but i found it while looking for images of Portal-Bionicle related stuff:

I never really got Bionicle. I came in too late to know what was going on in the plot, and the pieces were too prefabricated for me to think of them as LEGOs

But then the disc and ball launchers made great addons for my Mindstorms robots
