I remain by my stance that, if we use Steam intergration, it should be more of a verification system to connect steam accounts, than a userbase.>Ok, how about: You can connect your forum account to a steam account, and only people with steam accounts can upload?
This way your console folk can still participate in the forum part, and we can still rule out people stealing others' maps.
I still am not getting why it's such a big deal to not integrate.. (apart from security but IMO that looks rock solid)
I like this idea, and it shouldn't be too difficult to implement.
Any objections?
Either way, that sounds all good.

I guess we can go with this, but the thing is every time I login on steampowered, they ask me to go take a password on my email because i logged from another computer, though I'm still on my laptop. Though it isn't that of an issue, and I guess for a lot of people, it is easier to sign in threw Steam.
It shouldn't do that in-browser, I don't think.

It does for me too. Not a huge issue but it happens.

Never happened to me before...

It does for me. It sometimes asks for it if you don't sign in for a long time - when was the last time you did so?
also the red circle is an issue.

Yh; he'd have to fix the z position of the online tag, then maybe use the steamAPI to find out if you are online?
I also find it funny how your two posts just happen to coincide with the images
Here's what it currently does:
- Associates your steam ID with a (hidden to anyone but admin) profile field
- Displays your steam info under your contact info on all your posts (not in your profile currently but that's not high on my list)
Here's what it will do (easy to implement, probably will be in action tomorrow or the next day):
- Be required to upload maps
- (Possibly) check to make sure that a workshop map is yours before submitting
Long term plans:
- If the steam web API ever updates to include workshop information, have it auto-detect your workshop maps
- One steam ID per user (right now you can associate one with any number of accounts - there's a couple easy ways I could fix this but I'm not sure I need to or should - thoughts?)
For now, since there's no other way to get to it, you can go to this page to make the association.
But it is nice to see that you have it working.

I'm dumb, how do I actually associate my account with Steam?
Visit the link I posted several posts up
I'll have an easier way to get to that page later today or tomorrow
