I probably will because I still use the site for some little side things and I don't really want anyone snatching it up in the meanwhile. mAI expires mid-2014, mAL doesn't expire until sometime after that as I recall.

While I'm sure I could make the case of that being harmful to the site, I don't think I'll even bother this time.

The site is slow. mAi is dying and portal/2 isn't popular as a mapping platform anymore. No amount of bailing out would change this. Portal is dying and there's nothing we can do to stop it.

I'd guess TWP is probably suffering the same fate. I've seen this happen before, with Zoo Admin. It's a pity really.

I think mAI could be brought back if it had a bit more publicity.

this may be true, but lets be honest, TWP and mAi would be twisted up in some way.

when all is said and done, MSleeper is the owner of another forum in a small niche of the community, and wants to take full control of it (wanting to buy mAl a while back). Naturally, they'd want to integrate them somehow, and she won't sacrifice any part of their community now, would they?

Msleeper has graciously offered to host the entire site (database, forums, wiki and all) on her server cluster. What does that mean? Well, pretty much nothing, from your end. The site might go down for a little bit while we get everything transferred over. From our end, that means 1) we no longer pay for hosting, which is a good thing, and 2) msleeper owns the mAI and mAL domains (once we transfer them). Some of you may object to this, but it's certainly not a bad thing because it doesn't make sense to have to negotiate everything domain-related whenever we want to get anything done. And msleeper has assured me she doesn't have the time to manage two different sites anyway, so we retain full control, essentially.
