Once upon a time, there was a guy who owned everything ever.
He forcibly and silently impregnated some guy's virgin wife, not only causing her to experience the nightmarish pain of childbirth without a medical aide, but ensuring her first born was not from her husband, who probably felt pretty pissed off.

He demanded the child be named jesus, and ordered them to look after him.

Jesus was a bit of a prat, and wondered around in later life, getting into all sorts of trouble. He made fun of old and sick people with cheap parlour tricks for a long while. Eventually someone told the authorities where this con-artist was, and they killed him on a cross.

Later, christians would worship that cross because it was used as a killling instrument for that sick twisted man. Also some silly wars would be held on the history of the dude who carried the holy cross to it's, and his, final resting spot.

Today and tomorrow is dedicated to that dude for some reason.

Merry crossmass!

Edit: also there's sometimes presents involved maybe

Kizzy, you're just missing a euphoric fedora.

Happy holidays. Yesterday was Festivus. I celebrate that.

Kizzy that was pretty disrespectful. Just saying. Watch yourself.

Anyway I got a nifty overkill 7.1 headset, a super-duper case for my Apple® iPad with Retina Display™, some mad dollar ($50 boiii), some Target gift cards from some family members I despise, and a new chair. For sitting in.

I also bought some games.

I got $150 towards a new iPod, some slippers, and Chivalry. The slippers are a bit small, but really comfy.

Howso? it is obvious it was in jest. no-one seriously thinks I mean all of that literally, right? has political correctness really gone that far?

I merely brung up a point that people do hold a torture device as an icon for Christianity, which has been a perplexing muse of mine for the last few weeks. That, and the dubious situation of the parent's feelings about christ's birth. the most offensive thing I did back there was call jesus a prat!
I feel no reason to watch myself whatsoever. Unless someone finds where mary consented to having the baby jesus. then I will watch myself a tad more.

but I'll digress.
For me, I got a bunch of stuff. but my most exciting things were Mario Party 2, and Castle of Illusion's remake on Steam!
I also got this cool laser maze thing from Thinkfun. it's so cool in a strange way! 8U

In the bible, Mary consents to having Jesus, which is why the whole concept of the Virgin Mary is such a big deal in Christianity (I think; I'm not too familiar with scripture).

Also I got a few pms about your post, so I don't think it was at all implied that what you were saying was in jest. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Mary was told of his will, and accepted it. but if she had not, what then? would the baby come anyway? did she just become pregnant there and then? did her accepting teleport a 9-month-old baby into her? or was it already there?
Until we get a sequel, I guess we'll never quite know. but either bring up even more question which could fuel an entire debate on the birth!

religion is a really touchy debate-y topic!

Also, I often take a role as jester online. I was a prominent supporter of the smiley. Up until the Sbrown incident, I like to think I was the heart of Off Topic for that reason. Off Topic was so much more vibrant when I was the mod of it. U:
Probably the move of forum that's died it down. that, and the extra rules applied now that weren't before.

I got the same game, and one of those little turret flashlights. I want to hotwire the switch so I can make it light up and talk remotely.

RE that laser, we used it with the cats.

dear god, the fun we had then. we actually had to stop because one of our cats doesn't handle excitement well. he lay down the rest of the day (over 8 hours).

One of our cats actually connected the laser to the spot. you could almost see the gears turning in her head, when she looked from the spot, to the laser, and back again.

Meanwhile, our other cat is a typical "gifted" cat. no need to know why. there is a spot, and he wants to catch it.
