Gel Problems

hey if anyone can, help it appears i am having a gel glitch, none of the gels show up on the floors/walls (and the stream from the vital apperatus vent IS visible and they still function properly even though they are not visible) however they function properly within the stock maps
any help would be much appriciated

In Hammer, go to the Map Properties and set "Paint in Map?" (or whatever it is) to "Yes".

I'm having the same problem.
Got a few lights set up. Paint in map is enabled and rendering is et at:
BSP: Normal
VIS: Fast
Rad: Fast
HDR: Disabled
Or should HDR be enabled? :O I can't find any other options concerning the gel...

Normally I'd do that. Just noted it was a rather dumb post when I posted it, but I don't have access to the tools at this point. Will update the post when I have (probably tonight).
And seeing your response I think that is the problem, hehe.

Uh, i never had a problem with it. Anyway i found my HDR is disabled, and yet, gel works fine in my maps.

Gel not working here; HDR has no effect; paint in map is enabled, and i'm not painting cheap/dev textures if that matters.

Leaks will stop the gel from working. Check your compile log.

Uhm, no leaks. Even put a whole new cube around the whole level to safe-test that.
Sorry for bumping this old topic, but it's still an annoying issue.

Maybe try checking DrawOnly? is set to No

RAD needs to be normal for paint to function correctly.
