Post the worst map you have ever made.
This one was mine
made mid 2008

This is pretty self explanitory why this is my worst map.
Number of world brushes: 7716
Number of func_detail: 0
time to compile: 3hrs
This map would simply crash the engine if you used a flashlight of any kind
Note to beginners.
Always optimize!
Use func_details where necessary!
Don't make a map that splits the vis leaves like crazy!
No micro Brushes!
Know your tools well!

That makes me want to vomit.
Well we all start somewhere. Thank god I don't make maps like this anymore.
It was a good (passable) idea, gone bad.

Wow, fuck that.

Worst one I (remember) ever played(ing) was a portal version of "I want to be the guy" (ie: The hardest game ever) but, was badly made, all but (or seriously) impossible, and was full of HOM errors (missing textures).

I think I remember this. Everyone said the map sucked and the author came back saying "what's wrong with you people, don't you enjoy the gameplay from Doom and Quake where you had to press use on every surface to find out what does what".
Now I want to find the thread.
EDIT
That was easy.

As for me, I'd have to go back to around 2001 when I was using worldcraft for goldsrc and thankfully I have nothing from that time period.
The page for that map no longer exists on the website, so I can't provide screenshots. However, that map was terrible. It was lit mostly by texture lights (the sky) and required you to do tricky jumps to get from one end of the map to the other. It was also a CTF map that wasn't symmetrical.
I had a worse one, but I can't find it online at all.. It was a wooden maze that was fullbright, had one path from flag to flag, and required crouching to get through it. Terrible.
