I have noticed so many games of Valves that have been turned into Standalone games. And they even have servers on this thing called Genera I believe. Like the game Brink. It just came out not that long ago and you can already get a HIGHLY ILLEGAL PIRATED VERSION of it.

Me personally, I think its sad. Most of Valves good games are cheap in price. And your able to make maps and stuff, so why not pay the fee to get the Weeee? Fun comes at a price usually.

What are your thoughts on this?

I bought Dragon Age Origins and hated it. That was damn expensive too.
When I want a game I usually ask a friend if I could play it to try it, and it if looks alright I would buy it.

I have NEVER once used or seen Garys Mod. I was reading about it though and it seemed interesting. Is it worth the buy?
