My four-year-old son was the first to notice and point it out to me.

"Why does the heater have the Aperture Science mark?"

"PELONIS" can be rearranged into "NELIPOS," which is only one letter away from "NELIPOT," which was that Steam group that you could join during the ARG to get one of those potatoes on your profile ...

It's a conspiracy, I say! Clearly we all need to buy these heaters and search for Portal 2-related clues.

Not only playing, but I am teaching him how to map with Hammer.

RP6s4mitGPI

He gets stumped by the later chambers, but he can go through the first several test chambers by himself. He's a fast learner.

My son has been playing portal since about 4 as well. He and I just recently completed the coop together (while he was still 6) with him solving most of the puzzles himself. (and me just riding along).

not bothered trying to get him to hammer yet.

Regarding him pointing out the logo -

We should have them coop together i bet it would be full of lulz

We got one of those the day before we got Portal: Still Alive. So I wasn't familiar with the Aperture logo. I spent the whole day in shock that Aperture made heaters.

BTW, awesome that your son plays Portal. My 6-year-old niece has completed both games, and my 2-year-old nephew won't stop quoting Space core.

I was impressed. What you saw was actually his very first time playing any FPS games. He learned all the controls in about two minutes.

I am afraid I may screw him up because he learned my customized key layout--right mouse button to walk, space bar to use, S to jump, and Z to go backward.

If anyone is old enough, you'll realize that those were the Doom default keymap.

Nice discovery! Reminds me of how I was surprised to see the Triforce(from Zelda) on skis as a kid ^^

My son has advanced to solving puzzles: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=us3yKoo2YsE

He still needs my help in some of the harder puzzles, nevertheless.

Oh my god, this is pretty awesome. Does he understand the story and/or the jokes? Or is he just focused on solving the chambers?

He really likes the Caroline-GLaDOS backstory. In fact, that's what he asks every time we play. He named his pet turtle "Cave Johnson".
