"Squashed" by two moving portals

I found this animated gif of a guy getting "squashed" between two moving portals.
Took me sec to figure out if there actually would be any space between there.

Would love to see this happen in a level. I know moving portal surfaces are possible, but are beyond my beginner mapping skills. Not sure how the game mechanics would actually react.

Interesting though

I think a more valid question is why you took the time to check lol

How did you create a surface which doesnt remove the portal as soon as it starts moving?

sorry for going off topic...

That are console commands, so you can type them ingame or set them in Hammer via point_servercommand.

He wasn't the only one.

Anyway, I was actually expecting something to crash at some point during that video.

It seems that moving portals don't work at all for physics objects. (In my experience at least.)

Also, make sure that you turn this feature off when the map ends. It's disabled by default for a reason!

Is it one of those variables (like crosshair) that is persistent through game sessions?
