And after a teacher said 'There's no I in team' the other day a great idea hit me. I'd sex up the TF2 characters by making them all black (should please the demoman) and giving them white weapons, just like the iPod adverts.

I guess when the whole team is done I'll make one big picture with iFortress written under it.

As I love the Pyro so much it seemed natural to start with him (I recon it is a he, but a cross-dressing he or something before you all tell me its a she). Then a friend requested a Heavy so he came next.

They make great steam display pictures, and with a little clever resizing and croping they still make great icons at 32x32 for the in-game icons.

Anyone want one? I'm only willing to make them in two colours, red or blu, but I am willing to make all 9 classes, should people want them, if not I'll leave it at Pyro and Heavy

I am terrible at TF2 and haven't been playing it much (so far), but I do really like its character designs.

Hey, how about an iPortal version? Can you do one of these with Chell in black silhouette with a white portal gun? Like with orange and blue backgrounds? Maybe the CC? That would go over big with this crowd, methinks.

BTW what do you have against iPods? They're great portable music players. I always listen to mine on the bus/train, and it's really the only way to use public transport.

I don't really like the touch wheel, they are overpriced, I have a lot against iTunes, I prefer my Creative Zen V Plus mush more sexy.
I'm just odd like that I know they are hugely popular, but I don't like that.

As for iPods themselves, I've never wanted one because of a) price, b) iTunes / proprietary file formats, and c) this inexplicable feeling that it is my duty as a free-thinking individual to stand against the tide of mass consumerism.

They arent fantastic, but when I made the first one it was inteded to be shrunk to 32x32. and at that size its quite good, then the next size it had to look good at was 184x184. Any higher resolution then that was just room to play.

One complaint: the font sucks. I mean it's decent, but I think you could do a bit better. The models look so good, but the font just doesn't fit the rest of the design. Especially if you are trying to parody iPod. It should be closer to a bold or black Myriad Pro. Even Arial would be closer.

Now if you're trying to parody TF2, then I understand why you chose what you did. But I think the "i" should be lowercase: iPYRO / iPyro

As I said they are for display pics and not really meant go together, also it is a lowercase 'i', but the TF2 font is all capitals

Never rely on a font to do all of your work for you. Chop that uppercase 'i' in half and add a circle above it. It'll communicate the idea a lot better.
