don't worry
die hard Linux supporters (i'm not) would probably no him the most any way
Linux is such a small computer community that most of the time it is unnoticed

Let me reword that second sentance so it has atleast a thread on structure to it. It looks like a dictonary just sneezed.

Die-hard Linux supporters (which I'm not) would probably know him more then most.

If I'm correct Dennis Ritchie was the creator of the C programming langauge and more or less created the Unix OS as well.

I haven't heard of Unix OS either. C programming, like the C++ programing class or am I thinking of something else?

Yup sure is exept "C" is the first followed buy C# then C##
He has such little fame for what he created if it was not for him there wouldn't be such things as iphones/ipads OS or windows 94/2003/7 OS

Was there really any topic to begin with? Not to back-seat mod or whatever they call this, but all I've seen in this thread so far are spam posts and personal attacks, with vague "R.I.P." messages stuck between.
I don't think we need a thread here for every semi-famous computer guy who dies.
