You can still cheat the first part by redirecting the beam before the portal or hanging the cube through the portal...just add a permanent wall there if you want to totally fix it.

And I don't like maps with the flipping cube stuff. It's obvious what needs to be done, but very difficult to execute unless you are lucky or know the "tricks". Just remove it, as it doesn't really add anything to the puzzle and it annoys people.

The rest of the chamber was well done.

This is actually one of the first maps where cube-flinging works quite well. I've found it to be a pain in many instances, but seeing that you only need a single fall in the second chamber and that you have perfectly aligned portals in the third chamber, it works really well here.
Accelerating cubes through "portal-tunnels" is usually what makes this impossible to do, but that isn't needed here.

about the stuff with the textures, i don't see any problems because i never cared about such things, BUT this map was suppose to be a remake from the original map of portal1. If it was in their, then it should be in here too. Just because it didn't looked good in portla1 for some people, doesn't mean it should be changed. This is why so many movie remakes are shit because the new director feels the need to "improve" the old movie.

ANYWAY
what i actually wanted to say is for the complains about the sedcond chamber with the flipping cube.
NORMALLY i would agree with you, BUT just think about the original level in portal1. In the original level you had to redirected with a cube a energy ball that could instantly kill you, and somehow someway be able to redirect it into a small hole. Now, this new way is just as annoying(as in it doesn't use proper portal methods), but at least it won't kill you on spot.

I am leaving the map the way it is. If you can figure out a way to cheat good on you. The P1 17 had cheats too (if you were skilled enough. search for a speed run of it on youtube.), and had a stupid angled walls and having to redirect the pellet into the catcher with the cube. I honestly don't see the problem with the textures, its not perfect, but it is my first map.

I am currently making a 'challenge varient' and I will put in all the suggestions. Thanks to everyone who left constructive critisim. At least its not a single chamber with fullbright!

iWork925: I enjoyed the map, but it is true it needs fixing. But we tell you because you can make it! And in the end it's your work improving, not ours. You'll see how positive are people once you implement fixes, like rethinking the "puzzle" about flipping a cube in a 3X3 room without ledges.

-Fixed some puzzle workarounds.
-Fixed clipping and lighting bugs.
-Replaced clipped blocks with Panels.
-Replaced main chamber floor button with timer.
-Less portable surfaces in main chamber, increasing difficulty.
-Completely remade second laser trial.
-Increased difficulty of 1st and 3rd laser trial.
-Increased difficulty of Panel Fling room. Added danger field.
-Added autosaves, and fling room access bridge for reentry.
-Replaced crib button with incinerator. Portal 1 esque.
-Lasers replace with Thermal Decapitation Lasers. (Yay/Nay? - Let me know.)

I started playing custom maps and record me playing them. It's neither a perfect run nor do I have to have solved the map in the way it's meant to solve it. I play the maps "blind", that means I've never been in them before and play them for the very first time. I also give a little feedback for the map in the video description.

Have completed both versions. Started from the 2nd, but stuck at second laser trial, so then tried Version 1, wasn't very hard, and returned to Version 2. Somehow I've managed to find the solution ( how could you think up this and the way to solve it?:) ), and the rest wasn't long.

Ah you bring this back from the dead and on my birthday. This map is so old and shit i don't really know / care.
