It seems as though some of the portal entites are labeled as obsolete. Perhaps this is the case? I would love to work on this when I get home. I have been eyeing that entity in the entity list for awhile.

I ment to play around with it, but I just haven't had enough time. I work tuesday, but not wednesday. Darn work, can't my boss see all I want to do is to create content for Portal lovers? I've been meaning to get part 03 but I ended up doing voice recordings and puzzle design all last night. Almost got my first real puzzle map done and it looks very good so far. I think my competition entry will be the Portal: Quest for Cake demo.

My map series will be named "Post-Portal". The name speaks for itself.

A lot of entities are marked as "Obselete" since we don't have the real SDK update (I'm reminded of the HL2 beta days). Also, I don't think they would put the entity on the developer wiki if it either A.) doesn't already work to some degree, or 2.) don't plan on making it work in the future.

well, on a far side note, though still related, (i hope im not lynched for saying this) in UnrealED, theres plenty of features, particularly with lights, that are there even though they dont work. So just because its on there/in the entity list doesnt mean it necessarily works.

Liquid portal doesn't even have a choice so you can input its name so you can't even tell it to fill up or anything =/

I was recently speaking to Jeep Barnett, a member of the portal team, he gave me some info on how to get it working. It was just a test entity which one of the team was messing about with. I have an example map of how to use it on my website, link is on http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki ... quidportal

Thats really wierd, and buggy, the bottom one doesn't even teleport you half the time.

Sadly it hardly does anything, and it looks really crappy, but it does work though.

Basicly you add yourself to the teleport list by calling addactivator or something and as soon as it hits your eyeline you are teleported
