Just put all the files you have into a portal2_dlc2 folder

How do you mean that? More exactly, please. Can you get it to work?

Extract the vpk into a portal2_dlc2 folder, when valve updates portal 2 again, change it to portal2_dlc3

GCFScape. No sense building one thou if it wonk unless you extract the files.Valve fucked up a good thing. Now you have to tell everyone where to put each file etc etc and they will still get it wrong.Source mod folder is the best option these days.Easy to set up and shows in the steam library rather than being lost in multiple map files

I plyed "the core", which used the steam mod folder, but you couldn't save your games. That's shitty. I want people to be able to save their games, cause my mod will be 25 maps long.

My series is going to be about that long too! Stupid valve ruined something valuable to the community.

You are not able to create mod without hacking extras, like The Core did.

You can save, but there is no 'Load' menu.

Only 'Load Last Save'.

The load menu is normally off the 'Single Player' menu, and the way the The Core works is by hacking the Extras menu, so it doesnt have the Load menu.

I've just tried playing around with creating my own Single Player menu, nearly got it to work, but I'm stuck on being able to specify chapters and which map name to load.

Its 'supposed' to follow chapter1.cfg files in the cfg dir, but it doesnt seem to want to do that

I'm either doing something wrong or it doesnt work in portal, hence the fact people hack the Extras menu.

Yes, I looked at that page also.

'The Core' doesnt have a load menu though, so that doesnt help
