Portal-ifying my room

So, I want to Portal-ify my room, And I want answers to a couple of questions:
1. What are the dimensions of the Portal level signs?
2. What should I do with a Companion Cube? Make it a laundry basket, chair, etc.
3. How big are the wall panels? About the same size as the level signs?
4. I have a walk-in closet, should I replace the door on it with a wall panel and inside can be Ratman murals?
Any more suggestions would be nice. Keep in mind not anything too big such as a GlaDOS sticking out of the wall.

720 x 1280
A table to put your lamp, a chair
120 x 72
Up to you.

(the measurements are in pixels, change it to inches or meters)

I'd say make the Companion Cube a chest; have the top face hinge open. Plenty of room to stuff in dead test subjects... I mean, uh, clothes and stuff.

Most kids that age are still afraid of monsters under the bed. This ones wants there to be a homicidal AI watching him sleep. Best kid.

I remember reading somewhere that Hammer units are fairly close to real world inches (although I think you can change the grid to measure in inches in Hammer). Needless to say, only do it if you're definitely not going to grow out of Portal.

It's pretty close, I remember making my house in the L4D version of Hammer. It was pretty close to the real thing, just a little bit on the small side.
