freaky. I'd say try to reverse engineer how they used the Heavy model in Portal, however I know nothing about models.
So far I've replaced Chell's models with one of those boring generic males from HL2 but hes in that silly rigid pose they model them in. what I need to do is superimpose Chell's animations onto him. Also, making the player model only different on certain maps aswell, so far its a permanant change.

What I wan't to do is completely replace the player's model not just change the textures, the texture messed up because of the differences in the way the teo heads unwrap.
EDIT: worked it out ...if any wants to know, place the custom texture in: c:\program files\steam*username*\portal\portal\materials\models\player\chell_face.vtf
