Alright I have to give you points there too. The Beatles and Coldplay are definitely two of my favorite bands (and, ergo, obviously the best bands ever).

Here's a good final boss theme, it's Necrodeus in Kirby Mass Attack. Not too serious and not too goofy sounding.

Just to name off a few of my favorite artists:

Linkin Park
Elena Siegman
Dethklok
Marilyn Manson
Disturbed
Breaking Benjamin
Adema
Kevin Sherwood
Alter Bridge
Apocalyptica
Avenged Sevenfold
Limp Biskit
Five Finger Death Punch
Hurt
Kamelot
Korn
Metallica
Nickelback (some albums)
Poets of the Fall (Alan Wake Soundtrack's)
Ra
Serj Tankian
The Silent Comedy

Those are the one's on the top of my head, lol.
No, I'm not emo, I say that because half of those are like screaming music, but I'm not interested in the screaming, I love bass... I have my own bass guitar. I put on my amazing dr. dre beats audio pro headphones and I feel like im in my own studio.

Dream Theater!
Riverside (Great prog rock band! Really recomend it)
Pink Floyd! (Going to see Roger Waters on April! F yeah!)

These are bands which I Like Every single album. I can literaly put play on shuffle to those guys and enjoy every single song

When I map today I will give muse a chance, havent really heard it, though they have some good songs. Im just afraid it will be to pop-ish

Oh believe me it isn't, some of their music is unbelievably deep and complex. If you get the chance listen to all three parts of the Exogenesis Symphony, it's the finale on their most recent album.

If you want to be in a real studio you can turn the bass down on the Beats and have some semi-competent referencing headphones.

I cannot stop humming tunes from Super Meat Boy.

Im currently obsessed with Blue Oyster Cult and in the process of accumulating everything they've ever done, because so far I haven;t heard one song I don't like. Look them up, great band!

Jazz, especially Herbie Hancock.
Just bought his best-of album and it is mind-blowing.

Here he is playing "Chameleon" live. Simply insane.

I like to listen to chill downtempo stuff when I'm working on maps for hours... it makes the time go by differently... I don't know if that makes sense, but I'll post a couple of examples:

^ I lol'd.

I have Beats and yeah... Great headphones for listening to music or mixing, horrible headphones for music production... I'd honestly rather use a ?15 set of Sony headphones for mastering a track.

Gex: Enter the Gecko VS Rez
This video has both of Rez's boss themes in it, 2nd theme starts at 2:03. Both themes are mechanical sounding since Rez is a robot (Rez's face is in the TV).
