Talking about Duke3D made me think of this. Yon ages ago, I used to be top shit in the Duke Nukem 3D modding community. I was working on a TC with fully drivable vehicles, and AI Helper Bots that you could command and use their special abilities.

That is some avant-garde shit for the Duke 3D days. You were really not fucking around.

There has been this developer-centered engine update since 3D Realms finally released the source code to Duke3D a few years ago, called EDuke32. It is an amazing upgrade to the engine in terms of what it allows modders to potentially be able to do. If any of you have a copy of Duke3D laying around, you can download EDuke32 and the AWOL Source (the TC those screens were from) from my website and give it a goaround. It is pretty fun, even if it was never finished.

Yeah, the duke has alway been one of my favorite video game charecters. I even have some of his quotes in my randomsig collection.

Still waiting on duke nukem forever though. Most recent info says 2008. Though I think we all know how that's going to turn out. We'll have to wait a good deal longer probably.
But, as duke says: "Time flies when you're kickin' ass."

So everyone form a line, and turn around. I've got work to do.

Yeah, ever since TF2 became a reality, I've stopped making cracks at Duke Nukem Forever. Anything can happen, right?
