You know you've been doing too much hammer... when early (and sleepy) in the morning you go to your closet, pick up a sweater and a pair of trousers, dress yourself in front of the mirror, you realise that the sweater you chose doesn't match that much with your trousers, and you look for the undo key in the upper part of your mirror...

Sadly based in true events... dudes!

LOL nice. I've never done anything quite that bad, but I have been known to hit Ctrl-Z on my keyboard while I'm writing something down on a piece of paper... doesn't work out so good...

...when having compiled a map and testing it in the game I try to look around the chamber by holding SPACE and LMB.
But I only jump and "shoot".

When you're in Windows Explorer and you start trying to enlarge and shrink icons with the [ and ] buttons.
I know I do.

Harder? No. An inflexible box of shit? Yes.

Without using those exact words, Vordwann's way of thinking is more of what I was aiming to get across...

I've used both. I found the PeTI too "limited" compared to Hammer. I've been working on learning Hammer and making my first map for the last couple of months.

I don't know why but I took some offence to youme saying I haven't used either. Why say that? Because I haven't released anything yet (just a few screenshots in the showcase thread) ?.... there is a good reason for that.. Quality over Quantity.. when I do put something out I want it to be awesome, bug-free, exploit free and well designed both in details/looks/style and puzzle. I could spam all my PeTI maps (like others) but they just lack "spark"... I could release my current Hammer map as WiP, but its just not good enough for that either, yet.

I know I've been doing to much Hammer when I wake up in the morning and see my entire room as a grid and try to delete my alarm clock. :/

No joke.

Today, I woke up, and I walked into an object thinking that it's collisions might have been off.

... When you're at your office and receive a visit, a guy in a striped suit, and you realise that there on his shoulders, right on the seam, the strips don't coincide exactly, and you think of opening the Face edit sheet to shift one of the textures a bit more to the left on the X axis so both parts coincide properly...

It happened to me today.

You know, now that I think of it, most stuff that have patterns on it are cut-off in real life (tiles, bricks, wood walls etc.) and most people whine about this in games. This makes me wonder even more if people whine equally as much about patterns/textures in real life.

Well ML, I do... I think hammer is making me crazy or something, I can't stop watching many misaligned textures everyday in real life! In my own house! arggghhh...
