I have a feeling new Hammer maps will be caught up in a swamp of workshop created maps.

Surely there should be two recent uploads sections on the left side of the front page?

I'm glad mapping problems from the workshop is now separate from Hammer and Mods. I generally won't be helping people who have problems with the new editor.

Well that one was obvious. Hammer problems and PTI problems are not remotely close to each other. That was also more so that people who are new to the site and who are using the puzzle creator can more easily post questions and find answers. Creating a new release board for the PTI maps is, in my mind, less intuitive. I expect most people find new maps through the Download page, and not necessarily from the Release board. So the Release board's first page being filled with PTI maps (which, honestly, only happened in the first couple hours of me adding the PTI category) is less of an issue, since non-puzzle creator maps can still be easily found from the download page.

It's 3am. Did that make sense?

There may be a lot of maps now, but if you've checked the number of entries in the Portal 2 workshop over the days, the largest influx of maps was when the PTI first came out and since then the rate of maps released has been steadily decreasing. I imagine that a lot of the people currently making PTI maps will stop entirely after the novelty wears off.
