... when you look to your kitchen, see a nice tile pattern that's 8x4 tiles and think
"Yea! They used a 256x128 units white_wall_tile003f brush".

When your in a parking lot early in the morning on a clear day and look at all the shadows cast by the cars and the light-posts and wonder what brightness the env_projectedtexture is set to.

When you see that real world shadows get more diffracted the further they are from the object casting them and wish Source did the same thing.

Indeed. Pretty hard to do that in real-time, though (especially since the engine is busy doing a ton of other things as well).

...when you're at your local pizza place, look up that the ceiling and think: "Lol, noobs. They didn't align the ceiling textures properly!"

True story...

You're trying to make a large jump and wonder if it is 256 or another random number because the person who created the building is a n00b.

You go outside and it's suddenly really bright. You blame it on HDR.

I tend to think about mowing the lawn in terms of path_tracks. It just makes things easier.

I'm pretty sure that everyone here is an exaggerated hammer freak. But do I notice misaligned textures in real life? Nope.avi
Although... sometimes I dream about cheese hammer.

Same here! I only got my custom box droppers working after I had a dream in which I opened Hammer and built them, including the info_target parenting thing.

Really? That's very surreal lol...

My best ideas for mapping come late at night when I'm trying to sleep, and usually I have to force myself to remember, which is in large part a cause of my insomnia...
That said, I don't think I've ever dreamed about building maps. That's very weird haha

My God, Kal, really? Same here!! Most of my best puzzle ideas has come to my mind right in that same moment, when you're all alone (you leave your girlfriend sat on the sofa in front of the tv), close your eyes and think over a puzzle element until you find a nice way to use it, or you find out how to prevent an intended way you found in your own puzzle sketch you have in your mind so that everything is now pretty tight... and then you're so excited that you want your girlfriend to go to bed so you can carefully slip away after thinking she's asleep to reach your computer and map it because you're afraid that the idea could just vanish if you get asleep...

I'm so freaky!
