The download database is not your personal file storage. The only thing that needs to be uploaded is publicly released maps or other content.

If I catch anyone uploading personal shit or using the download database as their personal file host, you will be banned on the fucking spot.

I can't fathom what kind of an attitude you must have to think that a free map hosting site like this would in any way be okay with you abusing our services and hosting your personal files. But I'll try to summarize it into a single sentence: Fuck you.

I can't believe that any person in this universe is dumb enough to do that. How on earth is it not possible to get, that this is a Portal forum and not a file host?

But we had the same situation just few posts ago. Do you really think that 1) there's that much difference between who missused the dd or what she uploaded and 2) msleeper would tell you, while he refused to tell another user.

I can't believe this is real. People are so fucking stupid.

It's not a matter of stupid, really. It's a matter of a total lack of respect. Specifically, towards this site and the services we provide. I realize how easy it is to take free file hosts for granted, there's about a dozen "free" ones I can think of off the top of my head. But the catch there is they aren't really free. Most of them offer a small volume to free users, and paid users get expanded features and more storage and so on.

But we don't have that. Maps and other content is stored here totally free for everyone who visits and uses it. Sure it's not a ton of space in the grand scheme or that we're low on hard drive space. I don't think anyone assume we're doing Google or Amazon levels of file storage. But just because we have a completely free to use file hosting space, doesn't mean you can use it for just whatever you want.
