[SP] Resolution
DIfficulty: Probably a little on the hard side.
I spent much of last year travelling, and so this is my first released map in a long while. As ever, it's a small, minimally-styled chamber made of Hammer flesh over a PTI skeleton, with a focus more on the puzzle than the aesthetic side of things. That said, I did go to the trouble of chucking in a small Easter Egg of sorts, as a reward for players who like to mess around a bit.
Puzzle-wise I'm really pleased with how it turned out, and it might just be my favourite out of my own stuff. I've playtested it quite a lot and think it's pretty airtight, but then I always do; I'm fully prepared for the TWP crowd to prove me wrong....
EDIT: Challenge version uploaded! Check it out:

Agreed
Impressive puzzle El, impressive
I'm still pulling it off, only played around 1 hour or so but I'm still figuring out how to have one portal in second room (lined up with the laser catcher in room 1 that opens the exit), another up near the exit door and then enter from room 2 through the portal to get to the exit part with the cube and shoot this portal from up there to the wall in below room (number 1) where the laser beam ends...
Solution video rendering!

solution (no esater egg)

Give the video around 40 minutes or so...||
Excellent PUZZLE (in Capitals
)!! Thanks a ton for creating this, man! Wow... thanks for coming back!
I'll check out for that easter egg immediately
Well deserved 5/5! ![]()
EDIT: Now that I've seen your solution, josepezdj, I wonder which one of us found the solution with "more flair", because mine was very much different from yours (and slightly less complicated).

If your solution is different to both, though, I'd love to hear it; it could be something I've overlooked.
EDIT: Nah, that's almost exactly what I had in mind! Nice work! The only thing you'd have to change to do the challenge version would be a couple of minor moves at the start.
Damn, need to make harder puzzles.
I hope you continue mapping!

Thanks for the feedback. I've updated the map with a little fix that also adds a bit to the map's atmosphere...
And it wasn't easy for my puny brain at all! I had to try it a few times, but I was compelled to do that, so that's good. I don't think puzzles have to be hard, as long as they're not a series of trivial, immediately obvious actions. Was the easter egg the PTI stick figure from the observation window waving at you when you look at it? Anyway, nice to see a map from you again.

Not exactly, though it is related to that little guy... Thanks for playing and leaving a comment!

Hmmmm, about that, was all the easter egg about burning Bendy with the laser beam or should I be able to enter and grab the WCC? because I spent quite some time trying to get the WCC to no avail
This morning I started on the challenge version and it is so much more difficult. That grate screws it all up !! I am sure the angled surfaces in room 1 must have something to do with it - but what? why ? how ??????????
The thousands of maps in the Steam Community are mostly a waste of time although there are a few gems in there as well - but you can really waste a lot of time trying to find them. Oh well, luckily there are still a few master puzzle makers doing these brain-twisters. And luckily they get posted to TWP. Thanks a lot for these two gems.
For people looking for the Easter Egg: if you hear Cave Johnson, that's basically it; please don't expect too much!
PCdoc: just so you know, the angled surfaces are actually there to prevent an unintended solution that grayarea found...
Doubt it's legit, but I did the waterbottle rescue side quest, so I'm a hero either way.
