I got "Who voiced Wheatley?" as my anti-spam question, so I guess I had it easy. I wish other forums would incorporate proper questions like this, instead of CAPTCHAs that don't even do their job.
You mean something like this?
I'm in love with the laser mechanics at the moment:
lasers + portals never get old
Reduce Reuse Refract is probably my fav map so far!

Yeah, fight the good fight! We've repeatedly sent messages in space for aliens to come and find our 9 planets system, now one bigwig demoted Pluto so we'll look like asses. Not only, this makes half of Arthur C. Clarke production factually erroneous.
I like, play portal and stuff.

Well, it does not mean much to an atheist.

Amen.
Hi. I got bored waiting for DLC so I decided to try custom maps instead. Y'all seem pretty cool.

YES
I'm here because I searched for a Portal community that loves the Portal series as much as I do. I just started to play a few of the custom maps and I liked them so I thought it would be a good idea to sign up here. Actually I'm from germany so my english might be a bit incorrect here and there! Anyway, I hope it's not too bad though.

Your english is spot on.

This irritates me to no end. Those who apologize for broken or incorrect English because it "isn't their first language" are usually the ones who have pristine English. On the other hand, native speakers who should know the language are usually the ones who butcher it mercilessly.

You sound like the greatest teacher I knew in my old high school, no joke.

I'm really glad to hear this.

Well, that's really ironical, isn't it? I always check the things I write in english twice and I use a translator if I'm not completely sure how to spell a word. I give my best and I hope that there aren't any grammatical issues... still if there are any, I'm sorry. I really can comprehend how it feels to read a completely unreadable text.
I've been hovering around this site and the Mapping WIki for a while and thought it was time to join the community.
I first tried Portal back when I got the demo after I got my Xbox 360 in 2009. Right then and there I was hooked to the series. The idea of making portals and using them to solve puzzles was so fascinating to me. That same year I eventually bought the Orange Box for the Xbox 360 and later on the PC and that was what got me into TF2 and later on into Half Life.
Just this year I decided to pick up Hammer and see what I could make for Portal 2 and I had an absolute blast toying around and making my own levels. Within a few weeks I was making a lot of progress on getting to know Hammer. I'm currently working on a personal project (which I hope to eventually post here some day) that is remaking a chamber from the original Portal.
And that is pretty much how I got here
As you can see, I'm a bit of a chatterbox
How are you holding up? Because I'm a user.
