You're working on it since four full years and never talked about it or released anything ? When were you planning to release it ?

I know he was working on something a couple years back, he showed pictures of stuff he was doing. Maybe he is telling the truth...

Yes, I'm not saying he's bullshitting us, but well...
During the whole development process, we prayed every day that someone didn't have the same idea and would ruin our work a few weeks before the release. Now Ok, we did it. I can't really say I'm sorry, because I did nothing wrong, but I feel sad if it's the truth.
It looks awesome and I will most certainly be downloading it. It's just that from the trailer alone it looks like just a very good map pack. I'm just one of those guys that's gotta know what's under the hood.

There's your exposure and now your server is paying for it

), and it looks extremely epic. However, I read somewhere (can't remember where) that the official release date is October 10th. Yes, really. We have to wait nearly a month, if this date is correct.And I'm a bit concerned about the system requirements. The site says that any computer that can play the original can also play Portal: Prelude. But it also says that it has more graphics needs than the original. My card is DX9 at the software level, but only DX8 on the hardware level. (Which is probably why I can't get it to show the rippling effect in an unconnected portal
.) I hope that my computer will still be able to play it... But I am amazed that ANY program (game or something else) needs an entire gigabyte of RAM. Luckily, I do have that much.

We don't know, but the game isn't set in 1982.

Heh? In ApertureScience.com, the console says that the version of GLaDOS is dated from 1982...Well, whatever.
According to Portal scenario, when GLaDOS was initialized, she whould have no morality core. So I'm expecting something interesting.

Hum, I think you're wrong, the websites says :
1996 - After a decade spent bringing the disk operating parts of GlaDOS to a state of more or less basic functionnality, work begins on the Genetic Lifeform component.
Several Years Later - The untested AI is activated for the very first time as one of the planned activities on Aperture's first annual bring-your-daughter-to-work day.

Huh...
I thought that the date written on the comment after you login,
GLaDOS v1.09 (c) 1982 Aperture Science, Inc.
B:>
```
was the birth. So then it was only the beginning of the basic functionnality.
Thanks for the info
