Today, I woke up later than I should have. In the interim, I dreamed that I was walking the hallways again. The painted white walls and the windows with their vertical track blinds were all within the past few decades, and the brown, ornate carpet was a Victorian relic, with intricate patterns from a thin yellow line surrounding a few other colors that made a face if you looked at it from the right angle. At regular (short) intervals, there were varnished, carved oak doors with brass handles. Occasionally, the brass was instead a rusted iron-like metal. When I looked inside the rooms, I found a brown shag rug on the less-ornate carpet and that the doors were all set exactly in the middle of the bedroom's wall. On the other side, there was a low bed with a mattress covered in a single pale brown sheet. There were no windows. All of the light, if there was any, came from a single brass wall sconce that either had a single dim oil lamp or three dying candles. I can't remember which.
The windows were all too high to see out of in the main corridor. The halls spanned upwards for two or sometimes three stories without interruption before reaching the ceiling. Whenever I reached a corner, the window was up at the top, casting light from the late afternoon; often, it would project golden patterns onto the wall and carpeted floor. Sometimes, the carpet would descend stairs, and the ceiling would be left behind at whatever height it was at, only to catch up later after some time of being unnoticed. On a few of these occasions, another passage intersected only a few floors above, with a rickety-looking carved railing made out of a dark wood. I was never on the upper part of these intersections; if I had been, I imagine that I would've looked out the windows directly and to see the setting sun.
There were no bounds to the house. Although I never reached it, the top of the house and the attic had to be somewhere. In the basement, however, I never imagined that there was an established number of floors or large rooms. The stairs ascended about as often as they descended, but there was never any particular order to them. Once, I think I was at the ground floor for a moment. One of the rooms had velvet blinds that framed out a window with hedges surrounding it on the outside. Some stone stairs led into the basement, but eventually I climbed back out by another exit.

...I need to start going to bed earlier.

Boring as Duck: Source.

It was infinitely interesting while I was asleep, but I don't think anybody would care to play it without a bit more. HoK is still being worked on, but it isn't going to look anything like that.

Not sure if you mean you need to go to bed earlier instead of writing this or you mean you need to go to bed earlier to stop having weird dreams.

You're not either of the girls? I'm guessing you're the fifth performer who I don't see onstage for whatever reason.

Well observed. You can't tell but I'm being sincere.
