I think you are the best. I'm not saying like "Hey! I'm a big fan of yours! You are the best!". I'm being honest: tell me another modding group that does at least 50% of your awesome work...
Yeah. Glad I got that off my chest. :gordonfreeman:

Black Mesa team
the chinese room (Dear Esther)
Wtf.
Also can game writers please stop killing the protagonist at the end? Thanks.

Black Mesa team is Crowbar Collective, which I said.
Chinese Room is/was a AAA game developer who quit his job to make a walking simulator and is now probably working on Portal 6.

I personally like Burial at Sea DLC better then the retail game. Better choices where made when it came to weapons, AI, and the whole idea of planning things out felt more necessary. I felt it was a good hybrid of Bioshock 1 and Infinite all together. Can't wait till DLC 2, although it [u:1baxnkj5]maybe[/u:1baxnkj5] the last Bioshock [thing] ever.

I've not played the first BaS because I bought the main game during a recent sale of games that won some award or other and wasn't sure if I would like it enough to justify buying the DLCs. Now that I know I enjoyed it, The whole collection is on sale, but not the individual DLCs. :/
So I'll just get 'em during the next big sale, or maybe they'll go cheaper when BaS2 goes live.
In terms of what I thought of the story; it wasn't actually that confusing, it was just weird. I feel like some of the twists were just there to be twists. Having "You wereComstock the whole time! So you have to die now" at the end felt unnecessary.
The rest of the story was fantastic, though. Here's hoping BaS is is good as that was.
I think Burial at Sea's campaign was some of the best in the series. It had everything I expected out of Colombia and also finally found some gameplay that was at home in the world of Rapture.

Yeah, I get it. Still weird.
Though, I do agree that Burial at Sea was fantastic. A lot of people on the Steam forums are criticizing it, but that's the Steam forums.
the environments look stunning. amazing, even.
but there are a distinct lack of save points, and some elements or routes feel like total cheating.
I died over twenty times on one of the first levels, until I solved it by jumping onto a massively dark roof, that you don't notice much because of the orange laser in front of it, almost masking it's existence.
then later, I used portals with it. the part where you push the platform to rise up under a portal. I competed the chamber, and explored a nearby catwalk. the collision detection forced me to drop into the water.
no problem! there should be a save. hell, I just beat the entire chamber, so why wouldn-
oh, no there's not.
and this has been my major gripe with the game so far, and I've not even got speed gel yet :T

laugh all you like, but I personally enjoyed the environments. I particularly liked the spacey/outdoorsy environments.
that said, screw the designers of the "secret" ending in the ass. it is such a copout for a Portal mod. same with the real one.
