I think you have a really sweet concept with this map. The look is beautiful, too. One thing I would suggest for this map is perhaps make the death laser things look more death laser-y. Also, in response to brianuuu, yeah it was obviously incredibly easy, but I think it's more the idea that's important here.
I think you should take this concept and try to make a full-fledged test chamber. I'm excited to see what you can do with it, cause it has great potential!
i disagree with the aesthetic part, the main room looked too confusing, all the pillars and walls makes you think "is something behind there?" especially considering the magic of this room. In the end there is nothing. The colors kinda didn't worked out for me either.
As for the puzzle itself, very nice concept, but next time do a bigger puzzle with it.
Also the lasers were annoying, instead of something that kills you, how about...i don't know, just some other method besides killing you. And like Enigmaphase said, make it more like death laser, so red would be a good color.
I agree that the laser isn't obviously deadly... I didn't even realise it was a laser...
The map itself is really cool, really nice idea!
I think visually it looks kinda strange (like the textures etc...)
I realized that the lasers didn't look very deadly, but I didn't want to stray from the color scheme. Also, before I used lasers, I tried a func_door instead that rose when the button was pressed, but for some really weird reason, even though the entity wasn't touching the portal, it would glitch it up so you couldn't go through it.
[Edit]
I made this in a few hours
This map looks fantastic! Even though it was quite easy, i enjoyed this map. Again though, death-ize the death lasers.
UPDATED!!!
Fixed the lasers being not laser-y.
Extended the map.
Added indicator strip things.
yup.
No questions asked with the puzzle, so here's about the tech. Hazard The Journey of Life uses the same Tron-like cel shading. It uses thin black lines to counter the shapes of the world, so it's still cellshaded but less one-dimensional (maybe those lightstripes would look less like holes in the geometry).
Other than that, hard to say that was a killer laser.

I started playing custom maps and record me playing them. It's neither a perfect run nor do I have to have solved the map in the way it's meant to solve it. I play the maps "blind", that means I've never been in them before and play them for the very first time. I also give a little feedback for the map in the video description.
Maybe you are interested in the fact, that I played your map: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYfCNpVCNyo
Sweet, thanks for playing it, by the way, if you want you can do another blind playthrough of the updated map.

original but short you know you to, wait for the suite
Was that a sentence?
An other atmosphere in a game that had its own... really great ! ! !
Hope it will be a part of a bigger "art map"
Great look. Amazing use of world portals as well. Hope to see more in the future!
It's getting better, yohoat9! Why not experiment with the look in different places, so we can check the alternatives?
Hi, I just played the updated version. I discovered that you can bring the cube with you, since removing the cube doesn't appear to deactivate the world portal. That may bring up issues for the rest of the map, I'm not sure.
