Description

Updated! Please try it again, if you are unsure if you got the intended solution. A fun, two chamber map featuring Clean Aperture. It features Cube and Button Based Testing, Excursion Funnels, Gel, and Aerial Faith Plates. It's not yet finished; I'm going to try and add a third or fourth chamber by the end of the contest.

Ordered and polished, but the puzzles seem kinda loose: permitting a series of spurious solutions, which may sound either a feature or flaw. Here's how I did it, and I have no idea of the correct path!

BTW you can corner yourself in the button area in chamber 1, a fizzler to the corridor would help.

I think I managed to find the intended solution for the second puzzle -- well-designed; I enjoyed it. The last jump is a bit loose because sometimes you land on the lift without intending to. Otherwise, I thought it was pretty cool.

There's a broken area portal behind your moving panel. It's pretty easy to miss. Screenshot below.

As for the level, it's a bit more loose and chaotic than I prefer, but I don't think the concepts are bad. Maybe work on streamlining it a bit before the deadline.

Thank you SO much! You broke the heck outta my puzzle. You managed to find an unintended solution for BOTH rooms

I'm going to fix those with an update, it's not nearly as fun as the correct solution, once you get it.

Thank you! I'll work on the jump, I might need to use a catapult trigger. Right now, I'm just using gravity.

How so? Once the intended solution is found, it all fits together, and is easy to solve without risk of dying, falling, etc. Do you think that fixing the existing problems above would fix your issue? Also, how did you solve the puzzle?

Wow... Perhaps it didn't update correctly? Let me fix that!

EDIT: It won't update! I tried uploading it in two different ways. Should I tell a mod?
EDIT 2: Wow, finally! It's updated. I don't know why it was messing up. Try now ^^;

I started playing custom maps and record me playing them. It's neither a perfect run nor do I have to have solved the map in the way it's meant to solve it. I play the maps "blind", that means I've never been in them before and play them for the very first time. I also give a little feedback for the map in the video description.

Maybe you are interested in the fact, that I played your map: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WeZRFH1cOE

Yes, very! I had some trouble updating the map, but I'm certain it's up to date now. You played on the old version, but despite that, you almost solved the second chamber in the intended way. On the second jump, there was a better place to fling, the checkered floor near the chamber entrance, which would have landed you directly on the gel, rather than on the lift.

On the first chamber, you completely broke it. ^_^ The update prevents the solution you found, which I don't feel is satisfying enough to let stay. It also makes the intended solution more obvious, since so many people missed it. I won't say what it is, but I will say it was never done in the entire campaign, either singleplayer or multiplayer. That's probably why so many people don't notice it.

This map was a jumbled mess to me, like you had one idea to start with, but in the process of fixing problems, you ended up with something else. The second room has a trivial solution, you don't need any of the puzzle elements to get to the exit. Despite the shortcomings, it was a bit of fun to play around in. Just 2/5 from me.
