I made some sustom instances and from my knowledge of the rules that was aloud, if I do some how win and your looking at the source VMF and its missing a instance (Although I think I ended up not using any of the custom ones in the end) contact me and I will give you the files you need.

Rescue The Space Sphere [Demomap] V2.5

It's a start, you've got some inventive ideas. Maybe more fit to a map the size of the halves, without the excursion "outside". That space window could use a real skybox!

The beginning and end was a real real nice touch, the space sphere in the monitor too

The puzzle was...allright, however there is one part where, if you don't ahve fast enough reflexes you die, you should try to avoid that.

Also if you give it a theme like "rescue someone" the puzzle/map should reflect that, like, not using a test chamber but apenture buildings and then the player needs to find certain buttons or something to activate something. You know what i mean

You know what? I totally agree with you, although due the the restrictions on custom content I couldn't do my best and the time limit,if only I had learnt how to map beforehand, because this was just a test map testing various elements I wanned in the map pack and I ended up making a puzzle out of it.

I started playing custom maps and record me playing them. It's neither a perfect run nor do I have to have solved the map in the way it's meant to solve it. I play the maps "blind", that means I've never been in them before and play them for the very first time. I also give a little feedback for the map in the video description.

nope, 2.5 should be fine.

I'm actually the mapper for the pack itself, it's just that I'm encountering technical difficulties so Flare is standing in for me whilst I fix the issues. After that he'll do the custom textures.

Is what I would be saying if this was not true, but it use don't need no cheese is the main mapper, I will mainly doing the texturing, but due to rules I couldn't use any custom ANYTHING, some people broke this rule and it makes me sad...

Too little, too late. It breaks my heart that poor little space sphere is out there all alone, with noone to rescue it. 3/5.
