Description
A map centered around a conveyorbelt, which has been critically aclaimed as "nicely detailed" and "an interesting idea" by testers. Here's two full size screenshots: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/900111/sp_reversal0006.jpg http://dl.dropbox.com/u/900111/sp_reversal0003.jpg Enjoy, and please leave some comments - this is my first release here. Short, but doesn't over stay it's welcome. Puzzles cut right to point, showing the new testing element to retro Aperture in the form of conveyors, seen previously only in behind the scenes Aperture areas fitted to work in the retro map style. Easy to figure out, but difficult enough to appreciate. Reminds me much of Lobster's work and shows much promise for this new mapper. 5/5
Understated gem which behind the short, quiet appearances hides novel and brilliant gameplay. You will remember this one as the map where it was done for the first time. An "indie" must have.

hahaha wtf man
Cool! I liked that this arguably new puzzle element totally fit the Portal world. Well done
I'm not sure I'd consider "interesting" to be acclaim, exactly, but I really liked it anyway ;P
I started playing custom maps and record me playing them. It's neither a perfect run nor do I have to have solved the map in the way it's meant to solve it. I play the maps "blind", that means I've never been in them before and play them for the very first time. I also give a little feedback for the map in the video description.
Maybe you are interested in the fact, that I played your map: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSPjSi9bxqw
Well fuck
Moving that button closer to the water dispenser at the last minute without getting my testers to re-run it was probably the worst thing I could have done
I'd encourage you to replay it using the other solution, it's far more enjoyable (don't have to record it, naturally), I guess I have a few improvements to make once file editing gets re-enabled.
Too bad, i did the exact same thing, I was like O_o Gonna try it the good way.
Edit: Yeah, it was much more fun.
Wow this map put a big smile on my face. It was good to finally see a 1960's SP map. It was crisp, well done, complete puzzle with no bugs or problems at all, aesthetically pleasing and fun!
Only problem was it was too short. Would have liked to see a few like this linked up, or maybe some other ones thrown on. But defintiely worth it. Especially since now that we all have your map to open as an example, anyone can use conveyors as a testing element =)
--AFTER READING ABOVE POSTS--
Wow, I watched the video. was kind of stunned. This didnt occur to me to do it that way. I was like "Thats really cheap." I must say the design of the puzzle led ME to solve it as intended, bouncing up getting the cube and all. And that was way more fun =) Like you said all you gotta do is move the button
Thank you for those very kind words
I just hope there's some more contests later on down the line, I WILL GET BETTER
Lol, I was waiting for the blue goo to come back around. Apparently the conveyor belt gets cleaned as it passes around unfortunately, hehe.
It was good and different. But I feel you could have expanded on that and make more puzzles.
Excellent new concept for Portal 2 - lots of fun and expect to see it in a more complex map soon....WEll done. Thanks for creating.

Heh, I wish. I've never detailed a map before so it took me a loooong time. This is however, part of a much larger project. Hopefully.
This was a fun map to play. I was led to solve as intended the first time around, but I had a nagging feeling there was a shortcut so I went back and quickly found the alternate route shown in Djinndrache's video.
Your business is appreciated.
Just played this, and like everyone has said, really love the original testing element, its kind of like a "pre-hard light technology" excursion funnel in its functionality (or at least like it was aperture's inspiration for building the excursion funnels later), although quite a bit more static. Well executed, but a bit short. I also solved it the intended way, but that is a hilarious and unfortunate shortcut in the video. It's difficult to try and think of all the ways other people will look at your puzzle. That's what testing is for though! Anyway, good job, keep it up.
would like to see more like this but this one was way too easy.
beat in 2 portals on my first run
place 1 below blue tube then place other at the portal able surface closest to the tube press button and run to the stand on button. when the repultion gell gets just past the water/clear liquid, you walk onto the conveyer and jump towards the door. thus the door opens and you beat the level in 2 portal placements.
concept
this map
keep working on it though
This concept's brilliance comes from how well it fits into the Portal universe. The folks at Valve are probably kicking themselves for not using their conveyors for more than production (and destruction) lines. And unlike some mappers who focus solely on their "new" mechanic, this map is very well made. 4/5 from me.
