Description

SP KA Level 1 version 0.92 Info: Difficult map but still not too deadly, with achievements so than even if you have done the map, you still have to find and clear all achievments Note that all rooms and areas that are lit can be reached and the thumbnail is showing the wall with achievements. Achievments is not any thing you have to do to finnish the map but you may if you want but some is not available if you break the glas. Install: copy map to portal 2/portal2/maps (if you have 0.70-> you may want to delete "SP_KA_Maps_Level_1_xxx.bsp"(the old version)) run game with -console to run man type "map SP_KA_Maps_Level_1_xxx.bsp" (xxx is the version number) hint before starting the map type: bind "any key" autosave that way you can save quick have fun and plz leave comment and rate it. ======Achievments:======= Nr: Hint: 1 Dont hurt it to open the door 2 Listen where it play from 3 Dont push to hard to find it. But do not try after the last gel is found. 4 It is open and not break it. 5 you only have 12min to place ball in place 6 Watch you head to not get hit. 7 The way will open for you and the door will be broken. 8 wood is broken. ======Change log========= V0.80 changed elevator to underground style. changed cube to old style. added one more achievment room. optimize the map to be faster to build and more small things. SP KA Level 1 version 0.92

Info:

Difficult map but still not too deadly, with achievements so than even if you have done the map, you still have to find and clear all achievments

Note that all rooms and areas that are lit can be reached

Install:

I appreciate the button to turn off the fizzler blocking the exit. However, I got stuck at the exit after I funneled over there without the sphere. The white gel never turned on, although I never needed it up to the point I got stuck. I found the radio, but saw no way to get it.

A little weirdness with the buttons for the funnel. After I took the cube off the button to turn on the funnel, it remained on. But you had to have both cubes on the buttons to reverse it. You couldn't just put the old cube on the reverse button. That's why I couldn't carry the sphere to the exit and got stuck.

Also, from playig version .85 before, I remember that a wall opened by the exit that let you back to the middle of the first room, albeit through a fizzler. In version .90, I somehow missed the trigger for that panel; it wasn't open when I got to the exit.

EDIT: I lost the sphere, no way to get it back?
EDIT: The button weirdness may have something to do with a button glitch. When it happened, I had misplaced a portal, and the funnel was pushing and pulling on the cube. I have heard that if you push a button fast enough, it may get stuck on. So it may not be a flaw in your logic, but a glitch in the game.

the hard thing is to get sphere with out losing the portal near exit

thats wierd thats not supposed to be able to happen with the funnel.
Have to look in to it

What wall that is not opening i don't get can you upload a screenshot of around where you think it is.

to get to the radio you need white gel to enable white gel place w sphere in place

but the testing and fault finding i have to do tomorrow.

re-uploaded the file and added a possible fix for funnel problem.

Whew, I finally got to the exit without cheating. Unfortunately, I also got there with no achievements. At least now I can give it 3/5.

I seriously doubt I could place the sphere at the exit in under 12 minutes, simply because of the size of the map making me spend half my time travelling. Heck, I proabaly spent 12 minutes just trying to place the blue gel where it was needed. Speaking of which, I have the same complaint about that as I did before about the white gel. A couple of angled panels with info_placement_helpers would have made that much less of a chore, without breaking the puzzle.

Did the white gel turn off when I smashed the glass? I was going to try to get the radio and the companion cube, but the white gel was off.

Is the room above the sphere dropper part of an achievement?

smart thing i gona check if needed changed that, but i already use a info_placemanet at entry of blue and have a angle to paint more. the time achievement is planed to be the hardest to get because that and nr 3,4 is the only achievements that is requied to do before you place sphere, but think i have a bug left in the map that do so you cant get achievement nr 3 after you get to the highest ground (where white is but not enabled before later)

ya that is turned off then you break glass to limit the possible to get out in the void but that may be done an other way around. or if it is not needed to limit that then i leave it on, what do you think?

if it is in same room as the radio is in then it is not but if it is not there and the room is lit it is a achievement in there:P

I'm a novice mapper myself, but I think you can make the hallway to the exit non-paintable, and leave the white gel on.

I can ninja my way into it, but then I'm stuck. If it involves slathering white gel all around that room, then I'm not even going to bother trying.

figured out how I can do to stop the white gel from getting out to the void: D
to get to broken door you have to use:you have to use white gel and funnel to get there.

im later today gona release a hot fix to fix this and may be more if found.

If any one run the map with recording it would be good for me to see how you solve it and if any thing that have to be more clear.
